It is hard to believe the areca palm (Dypsis lutescens) was once an endangered species. Drive down almost any street in a subtropical or warm climate, and you are likely to see dozens of these tall, attractive and clumping palms that look a lot like bamboo. The palms have smooth, sometimes golden trunks that are reminiscent of bamboo culms. Their fronds are narrow and full, almost like bamboo leaves. When used outdoors, they are often grown in clumps as a privacy screen.
When sold as indoor plants, areca palms typically are clustered in small pots and look somewhat like palm grass. However, there are two reasons they are not the best palms to grow as houseplants: They need fairly bright light and they are especially sensitive to the buildup of fertilizer salts. But if you are looking for a good short-lived palm for indoor growth, the areca palm is a popular and relatively inexpensive option.

Watering  

Like many palms, areca palms are sensitive to overwatering and cannot tolerate being waterlogged or sitting in a water-saturated potting mix. Let the soil or potting mix dry out slightly between waterings. Areca palms are sensitive to fluoridated water, so should be watered with distilled water or collected rainwater.

Lights

Indoors, areca palms do best with bright light like from a south- or west-facing window and may last longer with some direct sunlight. But do not give it too much direct sun; the leaves will turn yellowish-green in direct sunlight.

Made in America nano-hydroxyapatite Toothpaste that's Well Worth Buying.

This review is pretty much the same as the one I wrote for the Boka Coco Ginger. Boka Toothpaste is just that good. I've been using the Japanese brand Apagard Premio toothpaste for a couple of years now and recently I noticed this Boka toothpaste while looking for alternatives that wold be less costly. I've been using this toothpaste since the end of May, 2025. I wish they would sell it in larger tubes. Boka Toothpaste is very mild and makes brushing your teeth better. It doesn't have that harsh mint flavor which with most toothpastes feels like it's burning your mouth. It comes in multiple flavors and when you're done brushing your teeth, there is no need to rinse your mouth as it is a safe toothpaste to use. After having used it for a few days, I decided that I will keep using the Boka brand from now on. I just wish that most stores would carry this toothpaste instead pf selling all those major brands which are full of fluoride. Did a bit of research and found that Boka Toothpaste has the same percentage of nano-hydroxyapatite as Apagard Premio which is 10%. So that means that Boka Toothpaste is just as good if not better. No Fluoride No Harsh burning Mint Flavor Safe to shallow Multiple flavors 10% nano-hydroxyapatite Keeps your teeth Strong And one thing I've noticed is nano-hydroxyapatite makes your teeth less sensitive by rebuilding your tooth enamel I ordered four flavors, Watermelon Mint, Strawberry Mango, Orange Cream and Coco Ginger. So far, I've tried the Coco Ginger and I was surprised at how mild it was and it didn't have the sharp taste that ginger usually has. It is good and I enjoy it. I also tried the Orange Cream which was good. I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors. The Orange Cream I'm sure my wife will like if I can get her to try it. But she can be very stubborn at times. I see there are some other flavors which I intend to try such as the Cinnamint, Cucumber Dill, Lemon Lavender and Strawberry Basil. Not sure if I should try the Ela Mint as I don't know how strong or mild the mint will be. I'm sure that if places such as Walmart brick & mortar stores sold this toothpaste, that it would sell really well.
